NEVER WORK WITH CHILDREN OR ANIMALS

The great  American entertainer W.C Fields once said that actors should
"Never Work With Children Or Animals", (as they are usually unpredictable and can steal the scene).

It's the same for photographers sometimes, but over the years I've learned to be very patient,
VERY VERY PATIENT.

You need to spend a bit of time  to get to know your subject, put them at ease and become their friend,
before even picking up the camera.

Here's a shoot I did of a very cute dog. She was not quite a year old and very nervous of the
unfamiliar surroundings.
I spent an hour with her, getting most of the pics in the last 20 minutes.

LOOKING BACK AT A CHRISTMAS SHOOT

Hello everyone, Steve here from Phoenix Photography

Welcome to my new blog about me and my photography!

Over Christmas I had to brave the freezing temperatures and head out to take photos at a family get together. Some were travelling many miles to be there, and as the snow came down I expected the shoot to be called off; but everyone made it safely.
I'd photographed the kids before so I knew what to expect. To be honest it was a bit crazy, (the drink had been flowing), but we all had lots of fun and everyone loved the results.
See for yourself...........
(By the way, I love a challenge, these photos were taken in the kitchen, but who would know it?)
